I think desk personalisation is leaving you wide open to IR35.
1) I spend as little time at client sites as possible.
2) Do not personalise the space.
3) The 'client space' is an alien space, and should be treated as such.
4) Never feel at home
5) Never get too friendly.
If you truly want to fraternise with 'them' go to the nearest decent pub, where you will buy all the rounds - 'coz eez a faaaking jammmy contracta an eez loaded ineee?'.
