Sandwiches from M&S, a bottle of water and a bench in front of anyone of the government buildings there. Seeing as the IT is more than likely outsourced to the cheapest bidder the wi-fi liable to be open

You'll be lucky, the only place that never seems to be heaving around there is the Burger King in at CC station.
The Strand Palace hotel not far from Charing Cross has a nice restaurant though.

Meeting place near Embankment
I've not made it to Thursday drinks just yet, but since many of you have and know the area quite well...
Where (near Charing Cross) would you recommend to meet for a business lunch, where it's quiet enough (i.e. not busy) and has WiFi and table big enough for a pint and a laptop?
I've tried some places, where I like the food, but they have all been very noisy and busy...Tags: None
