I was expecting both to happen, that's why I jumped ship early and headed to Zurich.

I don't know if it's to do with the UK budget; the same seems to be happening here in Euroland; could also be due to the holiday season.

Are clients battening down the hatches following the budget?

That's what it seems like.

Until a week or two ago I was getting one or two phone calls a week from agents, but now these have stopped.

Or maybe people are away on their hols?
