It was very nearly a perfect day... I filled the paddling pool, fired up the BBQ and cracked open a beer whilst a Spitfire thundered directly over my house.

    Then...

Still, better being in your own environment than a pub for these little disappointments.

You have to feel sorry for them really. The place has just dried out after all the flooding, some fruitbat of a taxi driver goes postal with a gun, then they have a hosepipe ban. You couldn't make it up!

Yep! If we get a ban here, I can kiss all my hard work earlier this year goodbye

I don't like the warm weather even with a bar and pool nearby. Roll on Autumn

28 degrees indoors even with every door and window open in the house

For some reason the lyrics to a song by Dennis Leary came to mind, "I walk around in the summertime saying "How about this heat?""

This was not meant for you. The thought came to me yesterday when I heard some people outside talking.

    Dual inside/outside thermometer here.

    Inside 28° C.
Outside 48° C (OK the sensor was in direct sunlight when I looked, now down to 43.5)
