Got my iProfile Activity Update email today. Imagine my surprise when I noticed Job Applications: 2

I haven't applied for anything and I sincerely hope none of those muppets have sent my CV without asking

Ha Re-think have done the same to me too - clicking unsubscribe in the email throws up an error and when I finally logged in found that my i-profile is around 6 years out of date - have to delete it again This must be about the 8-9th iprofile i've deleted.

Oh lordy, sorry about that, I'm looking into the unsubscribe not working now for you..... very frustrating... will try and fix it asap.

iProfile will de dupe for you...

Thank you for noting the email from ReThink about your iProfile creation. iProfile works by cross referencing your data against the existing recruiter database, and as long as a number of elements match, then your iProfile won’t be duplicated, but will be updated. (if you are really bored there is a video on CV Template - iProfile the Online CV template)

We use about 10 different elements to check, such as post code, phone number etc, but on occasion our records don't match...... so a new iProfile is created. It could be that the ReThink database didn't have enough information in it and therefore didn't pick up your existing iProfile.

All of that said, I will be happy to check your specific iProfiles for you, you can get hold of me on sales(at)iprofile.org and merge any information for you. If you can let me know a name and email address that should be enough.

I will also have a look at the wording on the emails that are sent out, they may need amending.

I got one made up with iprofile.com.au this week touting me for work in Sydney.

I did tinker with my iProfile a couple of years back, but haven't looked at it since.

So what have this Rethink outfit actually done?
