Just done some research, Rooney hasn't scored for in the last 8 England games.

Drop him, stick Crouch and Heskey up front, Joe Cole on the left, Gerrard in the centre and hoof the long ball for 90 minutes.

    Sorted.

No. I might have done when I was 15, but life's too short for all that crap.

Look on the bright side. Just because Rooney couldn't score with a 60 year old hooker at the moment it's not all bad.

It's not as if we've let in any silly goals or anyth.......ah.

Maybe if the fat useless scouse twat had done something over the last 3 hours of football, the fans would not be booing him?

Thank **** for German beer is all I can say.

Edit: Ooh, my post count is 966. Add a one at the start and it's 1966. That's gotta be an omen, surely

Well that was 90 minutes I won't get back!!!!

On the upside, we now have Adrian Chiles dissecting the performance to keep spirits high!

With any luck we will get to listen to that sub-cultured fat chav Corden now, trying hard to put a positive spin on it all. I fear for wing mirrors and garden gnomes the length and breadth of the land.
A few more plastic tacky flags strapped to cars is what is needed for the Slovenia match. That and a catchy jingoistic headline bashing the Slovenians for not winning enough wars will soon raise the public mood.
Not sure there were quite enough references to how slowly England started in 1966 to settle the nerves either. More of that next match please........before it is too late.
