    BSL - be aware

I had an experience with BSL a while back, I worked 2 months for a client on a low rate, and did not get paid a penny until after I finished the job. Extremely slow and convoluted invoicing process, when you try and chase, you get told that someone will call you back and they don't, in all it was a very worrying time! Each invoice was 2 months+ to get paid, I did not extend when asked to by client due to the way I was treated by these guys.

Anyhow the company is called BSL (Blackapple Solutions)

The email tried to pass them off as a UK based company but concidering the first call registered from an 0091 based number and the poor girls English was as bad as my Indian and and milton keynes isn't 0208. My guess is that the Indians want to get in on the Cowboy game...

Ditto Milan Resourcing, although they do have a London office, but mainly based in Bangalore.

I got a mail from them yesterday and a call this morning from them which was quite enjoyable. The project (permie job actually with shift work and on call) was not for me anyway. The young sub-continent woman found it difficult to understand me but what it basically it boiled down to:

    - what do you think of the job, asked numerous times. Tried to point out that I am a freelance consultant who is currently busy on 2 projects until the end of 2010 at the minimum ("yes, but what do you think of this position, are you interested?")

    - how much do you earn? What is your current salary? Replied that I am on an hourly basis (with a large figure given which made her draw her breath) and can't give an actual figure

The position was in fact not too bad if I was looking for a permie job which is nowhere near where I live, possibly if I was 15 years younger I would have said I'll go for the interview to start with.

I would be interested to know how they got my mobile number and details though

I actually took a call from them a while ago.
The girls English was atrocious and she couldn't understand a thing I said to her. Eventually she said that the line was bad and she would hang up and call me back.

    I never got called back...

Gig appeared to be for HBOS Lloyds TSB - maybe I should move my bank account now...

    Al.
