No!! I won't have that! The Simpsons alone saves the septics' reputation..............and ALF too.
Have even seen the odd decent episode of "Scrubs" too.
They do have their share of keech too mind you, but that is hardly exclusive to them.
What about our collection of banal soaps? Mind-numbingly dull.

It was probably funny if you knew the context, ie for catholics maybe. Or maybe not.

You must be f******* kidding, it was one of the all time greats, up with Soutpark and BlackAdder.
    I missed Southpark too.

This might have been something to do with living in another country when they were on. The first I heard of Father Ted was when someone gave me the book for Christmas. Unsurprisingly I didn't enjoy the book.

He's been using his multiple sockies all this time - he turns up from time to time just to check out whether people missed him or not

There is of course a reason for that. And that is the policy of vetting newbie posters. It's slow and intrusive and stinks of double standards.

For example a newbie puts in an accounting question. He is met by someone like Northernladuk who retorts what a stupid question but here is an answer like or lump it.

Newbie sits at PC and answers. Reply sits there waiting to be moderated so newbie toddles off. They return to find it's still not posted. A day passes and they realise they have a reply from a moderator telling them that FOAD is not a reasonable answer to the last poster.

    They **** off to Mumsnet
