Yeah, well Gordon can claim a large share of the credit for those "giant mortgage pyramid schemes".

He set up the financial regulatory schemes, his government approved the takover of ABN Ambro (packed with dodgey subrime by RBS),
he wanted light touch bank regulation, they took no action to stop a huge property bubble develop, and
lastly he allowed government and personal debt to reach unprecedented levels.

He has a good government salary and a very good pension scheme lined up, but the people he supposedly cares
about will not be so scheltered from the very negative effects of his policies.

    Nope by Toynebee probably.

I know what I'd like him to do but apart from it being physically impossible and probably illegal in most countries I would get locked up for just owning a copy of the photo.

We'll still get his memoirs, no doubt.

I think the City is well aware of Gordon Brown's curse: did the prime minister kill Lehman Bros?

Even the New York Times is now repeating a joke circulating on the internet that blames Mr Brown for "hexing" Lehman Bros by opening its London headquarters in 2004.
    Just some examples:

    The curse of Jonah Brown
    Jonah curses Kent
Jonah Brown puts curse on East region

He's too stupid to land a city/consultant/director job, and too ugly and dour for a job in the spotlight. I reckon he'll go for banging out a couple of dull tomes which no one will read, then fade into obscurity as a back bencher.

He was never Prime Minister material in any sense of the word.

Interesting take, will he be a sell out and accept one of the hundreds of overpaid City "jobs" he will be offered or does he follow the less well tracked "ex-PM of the people" route, his integrity will be revealed soon, personally I don't think he is Tony Blair and less cash driven than "flash Tony", time will tell.
