    Somebody from Sierra Leone has mistakenly been given your number instead of the one he really wants. People used to say "sorry, I must have got the wrong number" when they got a wrong number, but nowadays the world has gone to hell in a handcart and they just dump the phone down because their time is valuable and they certainly don't want to waste it talking to some scumbag who can't even be bothered to be the right person.

    Oh Ive heard of these. Basically some poor sap has been kidnapped and is trying to escape. If you phone him back, he will reward you by paying money into your bank account.
