From that video they looked to be of a far superior quality compared to horrible little boxes we cram together, and they're planning to knock 'em down.

I think we should sell the channel islands to the French/Germans, we could then use the money to buy the rest of Ireland (flame suit on) which has over 600 housing estates full of brand new but empty homes left over from the Celtic tiger days. Use it as a sort of overflow.

Zimbabwe has done that. IIRC most of the country is now owned by Libya.

Why don't they sell land to other European members?

They could revise where the borders lie and then sell land to Germany, the Swiss or travel lodge...
