I am supposed to be on a Red Sea Cruise at the moment. I had shifted all sorts of critical work for my client around this holiday. We left for the airport on Thurs. morning..and on the way there was blurb on the radio about airports delaying/cancelling flights. When we got there our flight operator - Thomson - told us to check in normally and wait. After 7 hours we were told to go home and come back tomorrow (Friday). Of course we didn't go back. And on Saturday Thomson gave our money back - nice one. Parking company hasn't returned funds - par for the course with parking companies.

I really feel for the people stuck abroad. One of my friends is stuck in Cyprus at the mo.

I'm stuck in Berlin at the moment. I wasn't planning on going back to the UK until the end of the month but I'm seriously thinking about booking flights and train tickets as insurance in case this goes on for much longer.

Must be back up and flying by Friday surely? I have my first visit to the UK in six months this weekend.

Would go by car but the thought of driving through Belgium puts me off.

I'm definitely going to get teased about this at work on Monday.
Otoh, you must be glad that your parents are able to spend more time with you.

As air passengers were grounded for the second day in a row and Scotland was covered with a fine coating of instantly lethal dust, experts said that volcanoes were here to stay and would now have to be factored into all our daily decision making processes.

Dr Tom Logan, of the Institute for Studies, said: "Since seven o'clock this morning, Britain is now, essentially, a volcano based society.

Yes, exactly. Some of the birds at BA went on strike and there were no drinks served during the flight.

Whilst in HK fill your case with cheap micro SD cards.

I've worked out you can make an easy million with one trip if customs don't catch you, you'll have make a lot of sales on eBay though which will also arouse suspicion... and it could take a long time... there must be a way.
