MAN THE BARRICADES!!!!Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostTo be honest this is the equivalent of a gnat trying to rile an elephant. The site is huge, the sheer speed of posts & threads is monumental and the language. Sheeesh. The language is incredibly foul.
Nothing nasty has been posted , unless of course you don't like venison soup.
I do fear what would happen if they came the other way though!

I don't see why RPG's had to factor in to the earlier thread, completely off-topic imho.
The point was, what is wrong with people's psyche's when they feel a need to adopt personas in order to troll on other forums (let alone this one) purely in the pursuit of causing others anguish and upset ?
Someone may have commented that "yes, that's childish". It wasn't me.
I'd call it a far lot worse than that, bordering on sociopathic.
Watching someone slip on a banana skin may be Schadenfreude for some.
Deliberately placing the banana skin there in the first place goes a far lot more deeper that schadenfreude.
Calling it "parody" as if that somehow makes it alright is no excuse for the behaviour imo. That's a cop out.
It's contemptuous, personally.

Cheers singhr. I somehow wish there was more of a commercial requirement for antagonistic barstewards as I feel my talents are largely going to waste.Originally posted by singhr View PostJust nipped across to mumsnet check out what all the fuss is all about and can confirm that the great British tradition of 'taking the p*ss' is alive and well. You sockies are far too creative to be wasting your time on forums, shouldn't you be writing plays or something? Are your really contractors though or emigres from some other forum? either way, it's keeping me entertained this afternoon - well done
