I have some old aircraft parts in the loft. Joystick from a Canberra, altimeter from the prototype Harrier - P.1127 it was called. Lots of assorted bits from more than one TSR2 and many others. Think they might be worth something?

Amazing what you can sell nowadays

Other enquiries were more sceptical, with one reader suggesting he too had spirits in bottles in a cupboard at home.

"I think they are called Jim Beam and the other is Johnnie Walker," he said.
