    the only times I've been there, have gone via Lyon airport, and about a 60 min drive to grenoble.

    Beautiful place... and if you like skiing you'll be sorted.

    www.skyscanner.net is your friend. Grenoble via EasyJet from Birmingham, Bristol, Gatwick. It's France, so won't be too expensive... but of course the Euro/Pound excahnge rate is crap.
