    Rub it in!

I only took it to feed the kids, after six months war chest nearly gone!

Thing is I think I've been clever, it keeps the coffers from emptying till things improve, I've still got some war chest left, and because I'm shift based, I can take eight days leave (remember paid leave), and because of the shift pattern, that means 20 days off, almost all the notice period if a juicy gig turns up.

    I know, I'm justifying it....

And the amount of CV bending I have to do now! Used to be 'But you could configure a 32-node VMS Cluster if you need to, even though it's not on your CV?' - answer 'yeah, course!'....

    Bingo, gig won!

    started a topic Remember?

    Remember?

When on day one of bench time the phone never stops? For me I remember the day I finished at BNFL (sometime in 2001), the next day by lunchtime I was at British Energy, with other pimps pleading with me not to sign and to wait for them....

Thing is has the number of pimps shrunk with the market?

Now no-one rings or if they do, it's for some spurious mad panic role that doesn't actually exist and the whole trail goes dead within the hour and the pimp goes underground.

Bitter of Leeds, forced into permiedom....

Working...
