You need an XF. Other than that, I'd stick with the focus. More reliable and economical, less service costs too.

It is the 2.0d - I drive it quite a lot going up to Scotland - feels fine on the motorway. Not into drag racing at lights so not an issue for me. It is a heavy car, but handles pretty good......

Garaged when not in use, mileage is 95% motorway, half of which I have driven in it as visiting relatives with my mum in Scotland.

What's all this 2.0d and 2.2d stuff? You'd be better off with a 3.2litre like mine, bought 3 years ago for £6K (which included a £3K insurance payout for my previous Jag which I totalled).

Question is are you happy to look 15-20 years older than you really are by driving round in a X type. Sports gear or not... old mans car.

Pretty sure the depreciation costs on that Jag will be higher than the Ford. Would be interesting to see what the dealer will offer on each one.

That fine then, yes they do handle well, I had the 2.2d a really enjoyed it.

However like a lot of cars originally designed for petrol engines and than have a great heavy diesel put in they suffer with suspension wear and wheel bearings. Also chew front tyres. But maybe cos I couldn't drive sedately.
