Somewhere with rooms with a sea view would be good.
Well the city centre is not by the sea, its on the river.

For the sea, you need to over by Crosby or seaforth.
I will speak to my daughter, she lives in Crosby.

it was a step up for me

in fact it was a blinking leap. I had this pair of trainers, my favourite pair.
wore them for years till they were coming apart. They were rancid

The missus made me chuck them out one day, so I put on my protective gloves, got the coal tongs, and took them out and put them on the bin.

Next moring they were gone, nicked. Then I saw the local hard man, proudly showing off his new trainees to his mates. He was made up with them.

My Mrs is from Bootle, there are some OK bits and some not so OK bits. I'd stay in the City Centre, I can't think of any accomo in Bootle itself but !? There are various boutique style places in the centre, the chain hotels down on the front are pretty good but usually fully booked. It came as a surprise to me when we stayed in the Crowne Plaza that it was full of overseas tourists.

Where exactly are you staying, I will see if I can find something decent.

I left the area over twelve years ago, to move to Manchester, eveyone said 'ooo Salford, its dead rough round there'
Well in my street in Bootle, there was at least one major fight a week, blood and snot everywhere. Since I moved to Mancland, I have only seen three punchups, and I was in two of them.

Wurzel, you are in for a wonderful experience

But none of the London tulipe:
    - Walking dead people on the tube
    - People who may kill you if you ask the time
    - The dirty world that is the tube
    - Cars on roads that move slower than me crawling
    - Chelsea
    - houses the size of homeless boxes
    etc

We have bird feeders in the front and back gardens, we try to put stuff down for everyone and we get the usual selection of garden birds & many a squirrel too ( the squirrels get monkey nuts)

Don't get any nuthatches - but do occasionally get a Jay
