It was The Clock Tower... have to say, you were closeOriginally posted by cailin maith View PostI owe you an apology - that pub in Didsbury thats been changed into Zizzi's isn't the Cock - I can't remember what it was called now... Chef will prob know - he used to go out round there a lot, IIRC.
How did you go on on Saturday with the Gym girl?
It was also a Japanese restaurant and bar for a short while, didn't seem to do very well though. Possibly as a result from taking over the site from The Clock Tower, which was a sink pub for the local scally population

We have never met Gonzo. Maybe next time I am down in your neck of the woodsOriginally posted by Gonzo View PostThat's what Nick tells me and he never struck me as the type to go around telling untruths just for the sake of making mischief.
I have three bits of good news,
first, I didnt have to sleep in the car last night, the missus let me in
second , she, the missus, has agreed to get involved with CUK and want to chat to CM about planning road-trip type holidays
third, I met two really nice guys last night, RichardCranium and Wilmslow

For the record, I have now visited approximately 50% of the posts that admin has made since his/her/its first post on 6th July 2005 at 14:43 and have yet to find any definitive indication as to which of the possessive pronouns I should be using (although this post in "Currently Listening To..." is the funniest so farOriginally posted by administrator View PostBut wouldn't that make me a lady to start with? You have questioned my chromosomal layout a few times recently and I have gently ignored. But to suggest that I am a lady and would go in drag as Wilmslow is a low blow
).
I will continue to use all three, randomised to avoid giving precedence to any one, until I either find a post that clearly establishes which is correct, or admin expresses its/her/his preference.
Of course, this assumes that the use of "we" in so many admin posts is merely the Royal "we" - if there is in fact a colony, or "hive mind", things become even more complex
