A permie pretending to be a contractor to claim expenses? The actual tax position on that must be clear enough. Not that they are very likely to spot it. If your employer actually pays relocation I believe that can be tax free for interim expenses like travel and B&B etc.

    Quickie...

    Need some advice.

Been offered a permanent position. First 3 months is contract/probationary etc. Would i be allowed to work as a contractor for the first 3 months through my own Ltd company which would be of great help since i'm re-locating and can claim expenses for those 3 months.

Personally i can't see why that should be a problem since i would effectively become a permy after that period.

    Any advice on that please.
