    ITV, C4 and Five amongst others have signed up to join the BBC's iPlayer based new platform, so chances are they'll throw their whole lot in with the BBC. Sky will probably back down sooner or later too.

    It's about time internet telly happened.

    I don't think so. iPlayer is miles ahead of ITV & C4 tools, both in terms of usability, streaming quality and penetration.

    Yes did the f/w upgrade last night and got I player through the shopping channel, but no payment was required.

    Just got the I player to work on the Wii, very neat. All free. The I player interface is well laid out too compared with the web page version.

    The mac mini has now lost it's purpose in life...
