    Of course, what you haven't seen is the burglar in that apartment, who was subsequently nailed to the floor by the owner. Without the CCTV footage, the flat owner would never have been prosecuted.

    State controlled CCTV is nothing about keeping the streets safe, but all about keeping you under control.

    I would not be surprised if these instances of CCTV cameras being used inappropriately were not actually fed to the press by the government: to reinforce the fear.

    My mates work is in what used to be the red light area of glasgow. At the weekend, the security gaurds would use cctv footage from the lane behind work to make a “mix” tape for all the guys to see on the Monday ...

    Back in the 1990s, the security staff at BBC Woodlands had a video they had made of the bedroom antics in the houses alongside the site, all recorded using the site perimeter CCTV.
