    I tried them for a year and was getting up to 60% completition. I think the first month I got about 4 clues correct.

    I would keep the copy for a day and look at the answers in the next day's paper and that is how I learned.

    If I tried one again I would be right back to getting nothing.

    My favourite clue ever was...

    For me the Sunday Times cryptic is about the right level. The Times is far too difficult. I'd love to be able to do The Listener but I'm sadly far too stupid for that.
