    I have given up even thinking about learning another language, I was in Zurich for a few years and I was asked if I wanted to learn Swiss German.

    I ask why would I want to learn a language that only has a 30 mile radius

    You never know - my brother-in-law's first teaching job was maternity cover for one term. She never came back, and he was there for nine years.
