Previously on "tearing my hair out with.... apache"
It will take a while to sort out a zillion proxies...when you only need one!
not when you work with infrastructure of a blue chip company which has strict tight security and like I said, a zillion proxies and firewalls in between the internet and the .net systems
layers and layers of security, multiple demiliarised zones
working on open some .net applications to the InterWeb
what a nightmare, anything outside the intranet is a nightmare
Internet Explorer -> Internet -> Client's Internet GateWay -> a zillion proxies and reverse proxies and security zones, a zillion authentications.... -> and then finally the request will get to my reverse proxy that I have to configure infront of the .net system
is the request getting to my apache, don't think so, where's it getting lost, dunno, working with a zillion different teams all with different procedures and methods of working - lots of fun
guess there's bucks in this kind of stuff cos it's damn complicated :-)
Milan.
Surely they are paying you 'boomed' rates to suss this out for them !?
