Actually, looking from my office window (I'm just outside Winchester)...I can see two, possibly three trees and a fence down. Surprising, because I didn't think it was that bad.

    From linky:
In Kent, firefighters took down a sign at a kebab shop in New Road, Gravesend, which was left hanging dangerously after being dislodged in heavy winds.

Spirit of the Blitz and all that

Been pretty gusty here on the Hampshire coast, seen a couple of downed trees, but nothing much to when it's stormy at home in Yorkshire when roof slates are whizzing about.

    Wind trouble!

Here in deepest darkest south Wiltshire we have two large branches down in the garden, and we lost all power just after 22:30 last night for a couple of hours. Fairly sedate compared to a stormy night here, about three winters ago, when I went down the drive the next morning to drive my trusty old SAAB only to find half a tree lying directly across a knackered windscreen

Here's a linky to keep an eye on your wind trouble for the next few months.

Near Coventry. We were outside the storm warnings area on the Met Office web site.

The Missus was checking the site yesterday evening because we were having to speak up to be heard over the sound of the wind whistling around the houses.

It is blowing a gale out there and has been all night.

A bit windy down south, but mild. Someone's drain pipe was blown off in the night and ended up under the wheels of a car parked next to mine. But students were walking around in T-shirts as usual yesterday evening.
