I'm installing SuSE Linux on an IBM eServer e326 with an EXP400 expansion unit (which the backplane has gone kaputt on us so no access to disks currently ) on which I shall then install and customise the IBM mainframe operating system zOS version 1.6. This is for a business partner of mine here who has sold the system to a software developer here. The e326 is quite nice, we've got 2 2.2ghz dual core AMD Opterons in it with 6 146 gb drives and 8gb of memory. should give us around 150mips .

Couple of hours probably. Bit of work from long term occasional client. At home at least.

    Anyone working?

Working today (Sunday in Israel is like monday elsewhere.) Yesterday was nice, 30 degrees sitting on the beach with an ice cold Becks. Today its only around 28 but not much happening as IBM still haven't delivered defective parts so just sitting around smoking dodgy fags and drinking tea (and getting paid, nice.)

Working...
