    That service lists every 0845 number. That one has "0 Complaints" so is not really listed as spam.

    My own 0845 number is on there, also "0 Complaints".

    I do not either, I think that is because I have not tarted my CV for about 5 years.

    The common denominator is agencies desperate to make a buck...

    Im trying to think of an industry that tries to steal from the poor like this, and can only think of scam religions at the mo. Sure there are some more though.

    Funny that, you backed them to the hilt about 5 months ago on their dubious practices.

    Sockies always drop their guard.

    started a topic Hays still trying to cream it from OOW contractors

    Hays still trying to cream it from OOW contractors

    Just received this mail - what contract??

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    As you have previously applied for contract assignment with Hays IT and Defense for a position that requires a security clearance, we are contractually bound to verify that you have the pre-requisite security clearance level prior to accepting you onto our database of security-cleared workers.
    We have recently encountered a large number of individuals who believe they have a valid security clearance, but through no fault of their own, it has lapsed or been invalidated. This has resulted in a significant increase in the time it takes to place individuals on projects.
    To prevent this situation in the future and avoid causing any delay to your application, we are introducing a process to verify security clearances of workers on our database as you apply for jobs. To complete this process in accordance with the Data Protection Act, we need your permission to approach the various security agencies to ensure that your stated level of clearance is still valid.
    If you wish to be registered for security cleared opportunities with Hays there will be an administration fee of £57.50 for verification to take place to cover the associated costs.
    If upon completion of verification your security clearance is confirmed as valid, then you will be added to our cleared database. However, if the clearance has lapsed or is void and you have been selected for a contract that requires a Security Clearance we can submit your clearance by approaching the sponsor/prime contractor to start the renewal process to enable you to take up a position on the relevant contract.
