The prizing structure for the Beta testers was something like:
The 10 best testers were all being given copies of Visual Studio 2005 professional (worth a few hundred quid)
The next 50 best beta testers were all being given an xbox for their efforts (worth a couple of hundred quid).
Given than VS comes on a few CD's which can be printed off for a few pence there was a general consensus that MS was not exactly being fair with its prize giving.
