However, there is no doubt that there are many who do believe in a world order, who have no time for the little man's concept of national culture or independence. They are professionals moving in an elite world who see none of the problems the common man sees because they only meet educated professionals like themselves, a world in which cultural differences as normally defined scarcely exist. They see themselves as creating a golden future but all they are doing is the age old mankind thing of becoming dominant, there is no difference between them and the kings and barons of old.

Unfortunately, we now live in a globalised world where there is nothing to stop them. Nationality is probably a thing of the past and because the issues that concern the little man are no longer of consequence and his petty concerns have no place in the grand scheme of things there is no need to consult him either. As the events of the last few decades have surely shown, democracy (not that it ever meant much) is history.

Should we really take the view of the "small man" into account, if he's an ignorant cretin?

As long as I get my regular doses of soma, I'm happy with this state of affairs.

No, you're thinking of The Brandenburg Cake, invented by King Frederick William II of Prussia.

The anti-'Common Purpose' bunch may be nutters, but what they are against are every bit as evil as they claim.

They certainly seem to upset a few people:

    http://www.stopcp.com/

    http://www.cpexposed.com/

Both of those websites ask for donations with no clear account of what the money is for or where it goes.

With all these conspiracy theories I lose track of who the bad guys are supposed to be. Have we stopped worrying about the Bilderberg group now?

They may be nutters but there is a ring of truth about it (particularly the NHS) ...

It all sounds very New Labourish. And therefore utterly corrupt.

    What is this organisation really?

Do a Google (UK) for "Common Purpose". Are the comments about it by nutters or could they be right?
