If you take 4 +7 you get 11 and if you add 1 and 1 you get 2. But if you do that sum in binary you get 1. 1 and 2 divide half of all numbers
including 50 which is my age this year
Spooky or what?
Edit: Damn. Mis-timed. I wanted it to be at 12:47, but did it too early

23 is another number known for it's apophenic qualities.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/23_Enigma
As would be expected, there is a mathematical truth behind these numbers such as 23 and 47.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highly_cototient_number
The first few highly cototient numbers which are primes (sequence A105440 in OEIS) are
2, 23, 47, 59, 83, 89, 113, 167, 269, 389, 419, 509, 659, 839.

Now I am getting totally freaked out.
In the street that I grew up in one of the houses was number 47
We lived in number 4 so weren't that near it but even so it is very spooky!

OMG!
When I got to work this morning, I had 52 unread emails in my inbox. When I had deleted 5 of them, I had 47 left. And then I deleted most of them as well.
Some interesting responses. Definitely something strange going on here!

1642 = English Civil War started.
This is getting spookier and spookier :-)
