Sept. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Germany banned flights over Munich’s Oktoberfest as part of tighter security measures before the national election.
A small plane promoting soft drinks flew over the festival two days ago and caused concern to some people, Oliver Platzer, a spokesman for the Interior Ministry of Bavaria, said by phone today. Munich is in Bavaria.
“People are very concerned and because of the current security situation,” Platzer said. “Apparently there is a new video saying that the Oktoberfest will be a target.”
