When this topic first appeared on our radar I stated that it smacked as an atempt by BigPharma to frightne th epublix and overnements into buying masive amounts of their products ie Tamflu - this now only confirms my suspicions - then again when I learned that the great humanatarian Mr Rumsfleld was in on the act - I had to laugh.

We'll see in a couple of months, I guess, if it has a noticeable impact when normal flu season is in full swing. If everyone got regular flu the same winter, that would be pretty serious in itself... just not in such a scary way.

I notice how the BBC are trying to ramp up the SF hysteria now that the kids are back.
They started by re-running some horror stories from earlier this year just to get the ball rolling again. Now they are starting to drop more stories in.
