We're actually getting along pretty well now.

He's still a loudmouth f***er but at least it now feels as if we're on the same team.

Whats reallly annoying though is that everyone else on the project seems to like the f***er.

Given that he is also a contractor, what's the best way of getting him re-aquainted with the bench?

I never really thought of him as a bully, only as a bit of a cock and potential sparring partner.
Either I'm a bad judge of character or he never crossed the line to make him a bully.
As I said in one of my posts, there were circumstances which may explain (although not excuse) his behaviour

Well done you. Zippy gave me some advice that really worked. Smarted a bit, but then when people care that's the kind of advice you get, truthful and helpful.

Advice was "Don't be such a victim"

Break it down. Bullies need victims. If you let them have their way, you are immediately and irretrievbly the victim.

Olive branches? Twined with barbed wire I hope.

smile and think of the money. Life is too short to hate, it only consumes you. Easier said than done, I once wished cancer on my line manager a few years ago cos he was stitching me up - not something I'm proud of.
