My great grandad was called Mordecai, he had 16 kids, not quite sure what that says about my family, they were catholic though if that helps explain anything..

I was playing 'tunnels' with my pet mouse in an Everton football sock when I was nine. My sister stood on the sock not realising he was in there.
I remember cradling his little twitching body in my hand as died. He wee'd on me first though.

Indeed. MrsB took it particularly badly, mainly because we had to take the decision for him to be put to sleep. Turned out he had cancer of the liver / bowel but by the time he showed any visible symptoms it was too late for anything to be done and he became very ill very quickly.Originally posted by bogeyman View PostSorry to hear that Dave. That's the worst thing about having pets. It's good for the kids though. They come to understand that life and death and grieving is a natural cycle.
Did he have any last words?
He was her dog before we ever met and I had to work hard to get him on side to begin with. He was *very* protective of her in the early days.
