It's best all round not to have a personality if you want to succeed as a permie. That's my experience anyway.

Damn right - Some bosses are absolute bastards. One poor sod on that site was fired just for not spotting a difference between two photos. the phrase "I tried to be normal here but it was just so overrated" springs to mind.
The Dutch have a saying in thsi respect ,Just act normal , because thats strange enough.
