    Definitely recommended. I did it in my student days. I took the bus to the top the afternoon before and camped overnight, which you probably can't do nowadays. Great scenery on both the way up and the way down.

    In the spring, when cruising round the Western Med, I couldn't see any point spending £10 for an hour's InterNet access.

    I can see I was wrong. (I wonder if they would have given me a VAT receipt for the books...?)

    Do we need a one-upmanship-post-from-holiday thread? (Although Scourer will for having posted multiple times from honeymoon!)
