According to the last CD briefing, before piggy flu came along there were over 30 million cases of flu each year in the United States alone. Of these there were 200,000 hospitalizations and, on average, 36,000 deaths.

Flu kills people. THIS IS NOT NEWS.

So in answer to my question, the fact it has the word "flu" in the name makes you thinking it is nothing to worry about? That's just plain dumb. You even admit some strains are more dangerous... and apart from anything else even normal flu is a big deal if a proper epidemic happens. It's a pain for an office when a normal flu season knocks people out, it would cripple many businesses if many more people are affected at the same time than normal.

    Ah bless.
Don't worry your small brain about it, it doesn't have the capacity.

Next you'll be posting global warming projections from some other scientists, eh?

Maybe piggy flu can mutate so that it removes the hard of thinking from the gene pool. What a result that would be.

Well, I've got very mild flu symptoms today. Took a couple of paracetamol yesterday after feeling rough with a bit of sneezing and a bad throat for the past two days. According to HMG, only 30% of the population will catch swineflu. That seems a great underestimation to me.

How many healthy young people die of normal flu?

Wake up. This is serious. You'll realise it in a few months, if you are still alive.
