don't worry Franco, I have no intention of moving to Wales (although I quite liked hiking in the hills there) but for some reason I must have applied to a contract posted by JamJobs and now they have been emailing me, almost without fail, every Friday evening, for the last 12 months, to offer me that special architecture role within a defence naval environment for £40k a year in rural South Wales

Francko's right. Even those clowns at JamJobs have started offering positions with half-decent salaries instead of the 40k-a-year rubbish they usually send. Still not tempted tho'. Viva La Contracteria!

Just seeing a few colleagues leaving to get other positions. All permie well paid 70-80k and over. What happened to the market? Even decent contract rates starts reappearing..... (those colleagues preferred to go perm as they have small children and a wife who doesn'twork/earn much).

It was only 2 years ago when they were looking for people with 10 years of experience to offer them max 40k (and obviously they would not even consider contractors).

Is it going to last?
