MrsB is the arbiter of Vampire shows in this house and she shows no inclination to want to watch it, which I take a s a sign that it will be a bit pants.

Wouldn't go that far, but I saw it and it wasn't as bad as I'd feared.

I wonder where they got the inspiration for the PM who wanted nothing associated with him?

    Sopranos has been consumed unfortunately.
Looks like the Wire to keep me ticking over then.
Band of brothers never really did it for me, not sure why.

I keep hearing postivie talk about HBO's (is it ?) "True Blood" but what is it about ? is it Vampires ? is it just another Anne Rice type thing ? or something more like "Twighlight" ?

(btw the missus dragged me to watch Twighlight in a foreign language version some time ago and I tried to get out of it thinking it was a girlie "paranormal romance" type movie and to my suprise I rather enjoyed it actually.

There are worse ways to spend the day!

Would this be considered another "perversion"?

Well, The Sopranos (obviously). If you haven't seen it, you're very lucky as you have a real feast of top-quality TV to watch.

Also I've just finished "House" seasons 1-5 and although the format is somewhat repetitive, I've really enjoyed it.

I have, but haven't yet watched, Band of Brothers - bought on recommendation.

Am slowly ploughing through Buffy with my daughter - it's fun

I have West Wing to watch and 2 seasons of "The Shield".

    West Wing comes recommended.

Any views on "The Shield" ?
The Shield - Brilliant stuff, envious that you haven't seen it yet. Cracking pace throughout, even if it feels a bit too frantic sometimes.
Just finished watching the West Wing from scratch again, top quality stuff.
The Wire is also proving to be great, shows the game from all sides and all the motivations right up the tree.

Never got into CSI, any other recommendations ?

Now The Shield looks interesting. I have been looking for something to watch now that I have finished The Wire.
How does The Shield compare to The Wire?

Who is going to be watching Torchwood tonight? I have to admit I've lost interest in it.
