Being a CEO has to be the best job in the world
You get paid millions even if you bankrupt the company
Now how do I become one ?

Hopefully BA wont go bust before I use up all of my Airmiles.

Anyone know if you can exchange Airmiles for cash, we could all make a claim and send em into bankruptcy tomorrow.

So BA are on the verge of bankruptcy and the chief executive is still on 670k a year, even after his measly pay cut. Isn't it about time we started stringing these greedy bits of work up?

... better to take a cut than have no job in a couple of months time. The pension scheme must be a bit of a worry also. That will be a lot of lost pension benefits if they do hit the buffers.

Too big to fail? Swissair went down years ago, and then we have GM and the banks.

British Airways is asking thousands of staff to work for nothing, for up to one month, to help the airline survive.

The appeal, sent by e-mail to more than 30,000 workers in the UK, asks them to volunteer for between one week and one month's unpaid leave, or unpaid work.

Welcome to the future. Even if you have a job, the pay is going to be zero.
Back in 2003 when we contractors were being forced to take a cut, a fellow contractor reckoned that it would be the permies' turn next.

    Looks like he was right.

    What a hero

    Is that a typo?

    "forgoing his month's salary of £61,000. " !!

The company is asking people earning 20-30k a year and this guy is dropping 61K a month.

If this is not a typo, what a magnanimus gesture. Surely he has no war chest, if he is earnign such a pittance.

Clearly I am in the worng job

Still house prices are going up 2.6% per month, so Labour must be doing something right.
You've heard my diatribe on single chain events in house price inflation, and the five mini-falls in house prices 1993-2007?
