I've seen some funny stuff of his on YouTube, e.g. on the Glasgow airport terror attack ("hold on while I just punch this burning man in the face"), and on Scottish currency ("it's complicated mathematically - let's just have yours but with our photos").
Michael McIntyre's got an incredibly irritating voice, but he does do some funny stuff. The problem is, there is absolutely no shortage of excellent British comedians at the moment. I mean, hundreds of them. It's incredible really. In amongst that lot, people like McIntyre become quite average.
PCG were thinking to book him for their May2nd do. I believe it fell through because (a) he was bloody expensive and (b) he wouldn't actually commit to turning up until a few weeks before and (c) they weren't allowed to say he was appearing... Shame really, 'cos I think he's actually quite funny. Then again, I am very old
