Surely this should be on a permie forum? Do contractors get rejection letters? Lucky to get a quick call or email from the agent

Slightly off topic but I once rejected a permie job offer and wrote a really arsey letter accusing the HR team of taking the piss, insulting new recruits being arsey to the point i thought they would think "good ridenceto him"........another job offer came through with a higher salary offering. I wasn`t bothered about the job anyway (hence the letter) and was shocked when they offered it again. Round two, an even more arsey letter was sent but another offer came through.
If you had taken the job you would have been CEO by now............................

In 1990 I was working for a small firm who interviewed and verbally rejected a candidate. There was no rejection in writing because the manager thought he had made it clear. However, a week later the company received a letter thanking the manager and accepting the offer of work.
The manager was too embarrassed to write back in refusal and the candidate started the following week. I'm not sure if perhaps he was even on holdiay when the letter came in.
I for one would like to see OP go ahead and submit the "refusal" and see what happens.

Rejection letters? What are they then? I think I saw one back in the 80s...
