My favourite car as a lad was always my Dads..........
(Several) Humber SuperSnipes - Big old V8, Leather Seats, Walnut Burr Tables....
then he got
(A couple of) Daimler Soveriegns - Big old V8, Leather seats......
then
(only the one) Jenson Interceptor - you guessed it Big old V8, Leather seats. 2+2, Huge galss fishbowl back window.....
Not quite in the same league but my Dad once had a Wolseley. Leather sets, walnut dash, door trims and seat back tables. It smelled lovely.
I remember the Panther 6! Rumour has it they actually made one!
The Daimler in the Mk2 looky-likey shell was a 2.5 V8. The other 60s Daimler V8 was the Majestic Major with a 4.5. After that Daimlers simply became retrimmed Jaguars and shared the same powertrain.
