    I used to be a regular at the Bike 24 Hours in April. It was a more rough and ready affair than the cars though. We used to camp next to the race track and the toilet doors used be be one of the first casualities onto the campfires after we'd got though the pallets that the authorities thoughtfully provided.

    I do remember one year we were setting up the tents when the whole campsite stopped to watch at keen camper pulling stuck pallets from the bottom of an absolutely stacked tipper truck. Obviously not a physics student or one with a great imagination.

    Then there was the year that a French family stuck their car so close to our tent that the bumper was resting against the front door string.

    Judicially placed kippers on the exhaust box also had the campsite watching the car go after the festivities.

    Anyone else go? This year will be my 4th time in 6 years and its getting close now!!

    Must be loads of Contractors drive down in their Ferraris and Astons!
