    Or anywhere in North Wales/Lleyn(sp?) Peninsula, Welsh is quite commonly used there these days.
    I didn't think its extensive use had spread to the Gower and other bits of South Wales, but since the Welsh Assembly came about I'm not surprised that the Welsh language facism has spread.

    Just say "yakki da", tell them you speak Welsh and get the gig.

    You can absolutely bet your last penny that when you get on site everyone will be speaking English. Meanwhile, to be sure, take a crash audio course from Pimsleur. Seriously, you are a contractor and learning a little Welsh is not that hard.
