    They're generally only eaten at special occaisions these days and of course by tourists . There's a farm in the north of Peru IIRC that breeds massive (25lb) ones.

    I prefer alpaca myself.

    Have a few peruvian recipe books at home if anyone wants some recs.

    Not really, but they do eat their own poo, its not just the usual poo, they create special 'soft' poo to eat
