Yeah Friday/Saturday night is quite noisy in the town centre around the pubs and nightclubs (such as they are) as that's when all the oiks from the surrounding villages descend on Durham. But you just have to know where the blackspots are and go elsewhere if you like going out boozing
...hello Durham city-centre town-house. Moved today, so no more chavs wandering around swigging Fosters in the middle of the day (except on Friday night in the town centre itself).
Old house value: £70k
New house value: £300k+
Quite a few steps skipped up the old social ladder, though we are renting now - income is good but savings nowhere near that level. Better keep ourselves in work or we'll be kicked out like the last owner of this house when it was reposessed
Nice work. Beautiful place. It often used to kick off on a Friday and Saturday night though. The locals don't like the students do they!
