M wife & I have stayed in the St Andrews golf hotel a couple of times. Was refurbished in the last couple of years. Try and get room 8 beautiful views over beach & golf course. Lovely hotel.

Alternatively if budget is a concern we've stayed at this B&B, nice large rooms and friendly owners.... but it is popular so you might be leaving it a little late.

As a contractor you should really be staying in the fairmont bay hotel. Cost you though. Catered to rich american tourists.

The The Inn on North Street is a decent boozer and have rooms upstairs but there is a night club in the basement so could be noisey.

There is a decent curry house in St Andrews, cant remember it's name but has about 5 pictures of smiling waiters with Prince Willy in the window.

Yeah, if you class Dungeons and Dragons as "interesting".

Golf is an excuse for middle aged men to pretend to be out on golfing holidays with their mates, when in reality it is a chance to escape the family at home and have a good time.
