One of the sites hit was Jobserve - the site is still down at the time of writing and is hosting an apology (pdf) from supplier Telstra International.
They weren't using one of them blessed mole machines!? Tried one of them when I worked on railway when I were but a lad. Totally bogus. Project managers wet dream: lay a cable underground without having to dig a trench.
You ought to have seen the size of hole dug to dig the fscking thing back out.
I would hazard this one'll be similar by the time they get to it.
